Spring 1967 - Bill Robinson Wins the Dawson Award

23-year old Robinson impressed his new franchise upon arrival, receiving the 12th annual James P. Dawson Memorial Award from Yankees sportswriters for the outstanding rookie in the 1967 Spring training.

The Dawson Award is a custom-engraved wrist watch; Robinson's was a slim, avant-garde Longines Olympian in stainless steel.
